| Obverse description | Central field bears four Chinese ideograms arranged to be read top to bottom and right to left, flanking a central group of Manchu script characters. The entire central device is encircled by a border of additional Chinese ideograms denoting the provincial authority, reign title, and denomination in traditional weight units. The inscription identifies the issuing province of Chekiang, the Guangxu Emperor's reign, and the value equivalent of 1 Mace and 4.4 Candareens. |

| Reverse description | A finely detailed five-clawed imperial dragon is rendered in high relief at the centre of the field, its sinuous body coiling dynamically amid stylised clouds and waves, with a flaming pearl positioned at the centre. The dragon's head faces forward with prominent horns and whiskers, characteristic of the late Qing imperial dragon motif. The circular Latin legend around the periphery reads 'CHE-KIANG PROVINCE' along the upper arc and '1 MACE AND 4.4 CANDAREENS' along the lower arc, separated by small decorative stars. The dentilated border frames the entire design. |
