Reverse description A boldly engraved Imperial Chinese five-clawed dragon in high relief occupies the central field, depicted facing forward in a writhing pose amid stylized clouds and flames, with a flaming pearl at the center below. The surrounding legend reads PEKING at the top arc and 1 MACE AND 4.4 CANDAREENS along the lower and lateral arc, all in Latin script capital letters. Fine dentilation frames the entire reverse, consistent with the milled technique employed for this Guangxu-era pattern issue.
