To the right, an engraved reproduction of the commemorative plaque honoring the Unknown Soldier is depicted, bearing the dedicatory inscription ICI REPOSE UN SOLDAT FRANÇAIS MORT POUR LA PATRIE and the dates 1914–1918. Above the composition, the legend ARC DE TRIOMPHE is inscribed, while the dates 1806 and 2006 in the field mark the bicentennial of the monument's commissioning by Napoleon I. |
