| Obverse description | Facing portrait effigy of King Sobhuza II in traditional Swazi royal attire, including a feathered headdress and beaded necklace, rendered in high relief within the decagonal field. The king is depicted with a composed, dignified expression and a short beard. The arc legend KINGDOM OF SWAZILAND curves along the upper periphery, while the name SOBHUZA II appears in a straight legend along the lower margin. The design, engraved by Michael Rizzello, displays fine sculptural detail characteristic of Royal Mint proof coinage of the period. |
