Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Archduke Ferdinand Charles of Austria, crowned with an ornate royal crown, his long hair falling over armored shoulders, set within a laurel wreath border. The circumferential Latin legend reads D·G·ARCHIDVX·AVST·FERDINAND·CAROL·, interrupted by a small ornamental stop. The portrait is rendered in high relief with exceptional baroque engraving detail, characteristic of the Hall Mint's finest multiple-ducat issues.
