| Reverse description | The central field portrays a solemn translation ceremony in high relief, in which the reliquary shrines of Saints Rupert and Virgilius are carried in procession beneath a canopied baldachin supported by columns. A group of ecclesiastical figures in liturgical vestments and mitres flank the reliquary on both sides, with additional clergy arranged in attendance. The scene is rendered in the vigorous Baroque pictorial style characteristic of early seventeenth-century Salzburg coinage. A continuous Latin circumscription within a beaded border records the translation of the patron saints on 24 September. |
