| Reverse description | A male hurdler wearing a numbered racing bib (027) is depicted in dynamic mid-stride, clearing a hurdle in the foreground with athletic precision. The figure is rendered in high relief against a mirrored field, with a stylised urban skyline of tall buildings engraved in the background, evoking the Sydney 2000 Olympic host city. The curved legend XXVII OLYMPIC GAMES arcs along the upper periphery, and the denomination $20 is inscribed in the lower field beneath the hurdle. |

| Additional information |
Liberia's Olympic commemorative series from this period was produced almost entirely for the collector export market — the country had no meaningful domestic coin distribution infrastructure by 2000, and issues like this one were sold directly through overseas distributors and home shopping channels, never touching Liberian soil.
