| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Liberia occupies the central field, featuring a sailing ship on the sea beneath a rising sun, flanked by palm trees, with a dove in flight above the shield and a scroll bearing the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE' arching across the top of the arms. The date 1992 is divided to either side of the shield. The circumferential legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' arcs around the upper portion of the coin, while the denomination '20 DOLLARS Au.' and the gold fineness '999.9' appear in the lower field. |
