| Obverse description | Central field features the national arms of the Republic of Liberia, depicting a three-masted sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, and a rising sun over a coastal landscape, framed by a shield supported by a scroll bearing the motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE. The shield is flanked by decorative foliage and surmounted by a dove in flight. The legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination 20 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower rim. The date 2000 appears divided at either side of the central arms. |
