| Obverse description | The central field bears the coat of arms of Liberia, featuring a shield depicting a sailing ship at sea with a rising sun and palm tree, surmounted by a dove in flight, flanked by decorative supporters. The split date 20-00 appears to either side of the arms, with the denomination 20 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower rim.
