Obverse description Crowned effigy of King George V facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed robes and regalia. The portrait, adapted from the MacKennal coinage effigy, depicts the king in state dress with an ornate imperial crown and decorative collar. The legend GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND: IMP arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 20 DOLLARS appears in the lower field. The rim is defined by a continuous beaded border, and the initials R.M. are visible at the lower right of the bust, attributing the design to engraver Percy Metcalfe.
