(Translation: George V, King and Emperor of India by the Grace of God)
Reverse description The reverse depicts a dramatic scene of one of Canada's first submarines — CC-class vessel — navigating coastal waters, rendered with finely engraved detail. The submarine is shown in three-quarter view from the bow, its conning tower and deck gun visible, with a mountainous, tree-lined coastline rising steeply in the background. The mirrored proof field below the vessel creates a striking reflection effect, evoking the still surface of the water. The inscriptions CANADA and 2015 are engraved in serifed lettering along the lower arc of the coin. The overall composition commemorates Canada's acquisition of submarines CC-1 and CC-2 at the outbreak of World War I.
