Obverse description Central intaglio vignette of Andrew Jackson in cameo portrait at right, set against a fine guilloche underprint. A large golden seal appears to the left of centre, with the series inscription and obligation text — certifying deposit of twenty dollars in gold coin payable to the bearer on demand — arranged around the portrait. The note carries the series designation 'Series of 1928' and place of issue 'Washington D.C.' in letterpress.
