| Obverse description | A highly detailed antique-finish relief depicts a panoramic facade of the Forbidden City, Beijing, rendered with exceptional architectural precision across the coin's field. The imperial palace complex is shown in elevation, featuring multi-tiered sweeping rooflines, ornate bracket systems, ceremonial staircases, and decorative balustrades. To the left, the shield-shaped coat of arms of the Republic of Palau is prominently displayed, bearing the circular legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU around its upper arc and the series designation RAINBOW'S END below.
