| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Palau within an ornate shield-shaped cartouche, depicting the sea god Neptune seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, a treasure chest, and aquatic flora, with a crescent moon and star above. A native figure paddling a traditional outrigger canoe appears at the top of the shield. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by five six-pointed stars on each side. The denomination 20$ is inscribed at the bottom of the field, and the motto RAINBOW'S END appears within the lower portion of the shield. |
