Reverse description The reverse, designed by Canadian artist Trevor Tennant, depicts a mother raccoon and her kit set within a summer wetland habitat rendered in selective colour and fine engraving. The juvenile raccoon is positioned prominently in three-quarter profile on a rock at the water's edge, its grey-brown fur and distinctive black facial mask and ringed tail highlighted through precise polychrome application. The adult raccoon stands vigilantly to the right, both animals framed by green aquatic vegetation and a warm golden-hued background evoking a sunset reflected on still water. The engraving captures the texture of the animals' fur and their naturalistic expressions with exceptional detail. The reverse legend reads 20 DOLLARS 2016 CANADA, positioned along the lower arc of the design.
