Reverse description The reverse displays the heraldic shield of the province of Québec in full color, rendered on a jigsaw-puzzle-shaped flan designed to interlock with the other 13 provincial and territorial pieces in the series. The shield bears the traditional Québec arms featuring the fleurs-de-lis, a lion passant, and green maple leaves on a gold base. The date 1867, commemorating Canadian Confederation, appears as the sole legend on the reverse field. The colorized enamel treatment enhances the heraldic detail of the provincial arms.
