(Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
Reverse description The puzzle-piece-shaped reverse features the colorized heraldic shield of Nova Scotia prominently displayed in the upper portion of the flan, rendered in full color with a blue saltire on a white field and a golden inescutcheon charged with a red lion rampant. Below the shield, a decorative ribbon banner bears the confederation date 1867, flanked on all sides by engraved maple leaf sprigs in the mirror-polished silver field. The overall composition commemorates Nova Scotia's entry into Confederation and interlocks with companion pieces from the same puzzle coin series.
