Reverse description The reverse, engraved by José Osio, presents a richly detailed scene from Anishinaabe legend depicting Nanaboozhoo, the trickster-hero figure, clad in traditional regalia with feathered headdress and decorated garments, situated within the nest of the mighty Thunderbird atop a dramatic rocky cliff face. Two large Thunderbirds with outstretched wings and powerful talons flank the central figure, conveying a moment of mythological tension and wonder. The composition fills the entire field with deep sculptural relief, evoking the storytelling tradition of the Ojibwe people. The legend 2014 · CANADA · 20 DOLLARS arcs along the upper periphery, and the engraver's initials CA appear in the lower right field.
