| Reverse description | The reverse presents a dramatic full-color depiction of outer space as viewed from the lunar surface. The lower half of the field is occupied by a highly detailed, matte-finished relief of the Moon's cratered surface rendered in the natural silver of the coin. Rising above the lunar horizon in the upper portion of the field, the Earth is shown in vivid applied color, displaying recognizable continental landmasses in green against blue oceans, partially veiled by white cloud formations. The deep black background of space is populated with a multitude of white star points and luminous nebular clouds rendered in hues of orange, red, and pink, creating a richly atmospheric cosmic tableau. |

| Additional information |
Issued under the Royal Canadian Mint's ongoing fine silver collector program, this piece belongs to a long-running series of themed $20 issues that the RCM has produced in substantial quantities since the early 2000s — a program driven more by retail gift market demand than numismatic tradition. Mintages for individual issues in this series routinely exceed 10,000 pieces, and secondary market premiums over melt tend to compress accordingly.
