Additional information

The Grey Wolf issue is part of the Royal Canadian Mint's long-running wildlife series produced primarily for the collector market, struck in fine silver with selective gold and black rhodium plating — a multi-step finishing process the RCM developed over the previous decade to create tonal contrast without enamel. Mintages for these issues are capped and sold directly through the Mint, meaning they rarely circulate and reach secondary markets quickly once sell-out occurs.
