Obverse description The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt is depicted in right-facing profile, bare-headed, wearing a necklace and drop earrings, as she appeared at approximately 77 years of age. The legend surrounding the portrait reads ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA, with CANADA, the date 2022, and the denomination 20 DOLLARS also inscribed. The design is rendered on a puzzle-piece-shaped flan characteristic of the Canadian Passages series.
