Additional information

The Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara was given to Princess Elizabeth by her father, George VI, as a wedding gift in 1947 — the aquamarines sourced from Brazil, a traditional supplier of the stone to European royal households. She later commissioned matching pieces to expand it into a set, wearing the tiara at numerous state occasions through the 1950s.

This coin is part of the RCM's broader "Queen's Jewels" series, which ran across several years and focused specifically on pieces from her personal collection rather than the Crown Jewels held in trust.
