| Reverse description | Highly detailed high-relief rendering of the Aztec Calendar Stone (Sun Stone) occupying the central field, depicting the solar deity Tonatiuh at the centre surrounded by concentric rings of calendrical glyphs, day signs, and ceremonial motifs faithfully reproducing the iconography of the original monolith housed in the Museo Nacional de Antropología, Mexico City. The outermost ring features two feathered serpents meeting at the base, their heads flanking a richly ornamented lower border. The legend AZTEC CALENDAR STONE arcs along the upper periphery, the date 20 18 is positioned on either side of the design, and TENOCHTITLÁN appears in the lower exergue. |
