Obverse description The obverse bears the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch at approximately 77 years of age in right-facing profile, with bare head, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The portrait is rendered in fine relief against a polished field. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA, affirming her title by the Grace of God. The effigy is presented without a crown or diadem, consistent with Blunt's portrait standard adopted for Canadian coinage from 2003.

Reverse description The reverse presents a richly coloured aerial canopy view of maple trees in peak autumn foliage, rendered with selective colour application in vivid hues of orange, amber, yellow, and gold against the polished silver field. The composition captures the seasonal splendour of the Canadian maple in a dynamic, naturalistic style characteristic of the Royal Canadian Mint's fine silver collector series. The legend ED CANADA appears along with the denomination 20 DOLLARS and the date 2014 integrated into the design. This coin is the fourth and final issue in the Autumn Allure series. The coloured enamel enhancement technique adds striking chromatic depth to the sculptural relief of the foliage.
