| Reverse description | The reverse presents a highly detailed, colourised reproduction of the Star of Military Valour, Canada's second-highest military decoration for acts of valour in the presence of the enemy. The star takes the form of a four-pointed gilt star with interleaved maple leaf points, its centre occupied by a circular medallion featuring a gilt maple leaf on a vivid red enamelled background, surrounded by a laurel wreath rendered in silver. The design is finished with selective gold and red colouring that faithfully replicates the appearance of the actual decoration. The dates 1993 and 2018, marking the 25th anniversary of the award's establishment, are inscribed in the upper field to the left and right respectively, and the legend CANADA arcs along the lower periphery. |
