In the foreground at lower center, the iconic Little Mermaid statue is depicted seated on her rock, her form sculpted with careful attention to the original work by Edvard Eriksen. Behind her rise the distinctive facades of Copenhagen's City Hall (Rådhuset) with its tall clock tower at left, and the Round Tower (Rundetårn) at right, together evoking the architectural heritage of the Danish capital.
