| Obverse description | Rhodium-plated field frames the uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and facial features. The portrait, attributed to sculptor Steven Rosati and bearing the initials SR at the truncation, presents the sovereign in civilian dress with a collar and lapel visible. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the left periphery and D.G. REX along the right, both incuse against the darkened background. The date 2024 is inscribed along the lower rim in bold numerals. The stark contrast between the frosted silver portrait and the rhodium-darkened field imparts a dramatic matte proof aesthetic characteristic of this series. |
