Reverse description The reverse of this oval pysanka coin presents a richly symbolic Ukrainian folk art design rendered in selective colour against a silver field. A central eight-pointed star motif, representing strength, life, and fire, anchors the composition, surrounded by concentric geometric bands incorporating dots, cross shapes, triangles, angled squares, saw-toothed lines, curled lines, and ladder lines, each carrying traditional symbolic meaning relating to life, protection, and spiritual ascent. A Ukrainian rose appears beneath the upper legend band, symbolising love, devotion, and the sun as the giver of life. The design is executed in the four traditional pysanka colours of red, orange, yellow, and blue, each bearing its own symbolic resonance. The legend 'CANADA * 2025' arcs along the upper rim, with the designer's initials 'NK' at the right.
