| Reverse description | The reverse features gold-plated allegorical figures of Justice and Truth, inspired by Walter S. Allward's sculptures Ivstitia and Veritas situated before the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa, as interpreted by Canadian artist Rebecca Yanovskaya. Justice, sword of justice held aloft, extends her arm to support Truth, and both figures stand upon a podium bearing the letters SC in reference to the Cormier Emblem, the historic badge of the Supreme Court, commemorating the institution's 150th anniversary. The paired figures are encircled by a laurel wreath, itself derived from the Cormier Emblem, while an outer ring of unfurling laurel branches frames the composition. A scroll banner at the base bears the legend JUSTITIA ET VERITAS, simultaneously identifying the allegories and proclaiming the Court's motto. The inscriptions CANADA and 2025 appear within the reverse field, with the artist's initials RY noted. |
