Obverse description Diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as rendered at approximately 64 years of age, wearing the Diamond Diadem, a necklace, and drop earrings. The portrait is the third definitive effigy of the Queen used on Canadian coinage, sculpted by Dora de Pédery-Hunt. The legend encircles the bust along the upper periphery, with the date positioned at lower right in the field.
