| Obverse description | The full Arms of the Republic of Sierra Leone occupy the central field, depicting a shield supported by two rampant lions, each flanked by a palm tree, with a third lion passant on the shield itself. A torch and the motto ribbon inscribed UNITY FREEDOM JUSTICE appear at the base of the arms. The legend REPUBLIC OF SIERRA LEONE arcs along the left and upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, with the Pobjoy Mint initials PM visible at lower left of the arms. The date 2019 is placed prominently in the lower field, and a finely dentilated border frames the entire design. |
