| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Liberia occupies the central field, depicting a sailing ship approaching a shoreline beneath a rising sun, flanked by a palm tree, with a dove in flight above and a plough and spade in the foreground. A scroll within the shield bears the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE, and the legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA is inscribed along the lower rim of the shield.
