Obverse description Left-facing laureate bust of Queen Victoria, her hair gathered in a chignon at the nape and adorned with a wreath of laurel leaves, engraved in the style characteristic of Leonard Charles Wyon. The truncation of the neck is bare and unadorned. The peripheral legend reads VICTORIA D:G: REG: to the upper left and right, with NEW BRUNSWICK along the lower arc, all in raised Latin lettering within a toothed border.
