| Reverse description | The reverse presents Stuart Devlin's celebrated design of a platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) swimming dynamically to the left, its body rendered in naturalistic detail with the distinctive duck-bill, webbed front feet, and broad beaver-like tail clearly delineated against a stylised background of flowing water rendered as sweeping curved lines.
