Obverse description Left-facing crowned and draped bust of King George V, wearing the Imperial State Crown and military uniform with decorations visible at the chest. The effigy, sculpted by Bertram Mackennal, is rendered in high relief with fine detail. The circular Latin legend reads '· GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA ·' along the periphery, interrupted by a small five-pointed star at the base. The entire design is contained within a finely beaded border.
