| Obverse description | The South African Coat of Arms is centrally displayed in high relief, featuring a shield bearing two San figures flanked by wheat stalks, surmounted by crossed spear and knobkierie, with a secretary bird displayed above and a rising sun at the crest. The designer's initials ALS appear to the lower left of the arms. The date 2015 is inscribed in the upper field, while the legend SOUTH AFRICA curves along the lower rim. The motto !KE E: /XARRA //KE, rendered in the ǀXam language of the San people, appears on the scroll beneath the shield. |
