| Obverse description | Left-facing bare-headed effigy of King Vittorio Emanuele III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed facial features characteristic of Romagnoli's portraiture. The encircling legend reads VITT·EM·III· RE·E·IMP·, identifying the monarch as King and Emperor of Italy. The engraver's signature G.ROMAGNOLI appears below the truncation of the neck. The design is austere and classically composed, consistent with the medallic tradition of the Italian Royal Mint during the Fascist period. |
