| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Vittorio Emanuele II with prominent moustache, rendered in high relief. The king's truncated bust faces right in a naturalistic portrait style typical of mid-19th century Italian coinage. The legend VITTORIO EMANUELE II arcs along the upper periphery, while the engraver's name FERRARIS and the date appear in the lower exergue below the bust truncation. |
