Obverse description The Venezuelan national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the quartered shield with a sheaf of wheat, crossed arms and flags, and a galloping white horse in the lower quarter, flanked by an olive branch to the left and a palm frond to the right. Two scrolls below the shield bear the independence dates '19 DE ABRIL 1810' and '5 DE JULIO 1811', with the word 'LIBERTAD' on a third ribbon at the base. The circular legend 'ESTADOS UNIDOS DE VENEZUELA' arcs along the upper periphery, while the weight, fineness, and date 'GRAM 5 · 1874 · LEI 835' are inscribed along the lower periphery. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border.
