| Obverse description | A crudely executed Mexican eagle displayed with wings spread, facing left, occupying the central field of the coin. The eagle is rendered in low relief with heavily worn detail characteristic of the primitive local striking methods employed during the Mexican Revolutionary period. Below the eagle, the issuer's initials 'A.D.J.' appear in raised Latin lettering across the lower field. The overall die work is rough and irregular, consistent with emergency coinage produced under wartime conditions at Amecameca in 1915. |
