| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Bernardo O'Higgins, liberator and first Supreme Director of Chile, rendered in low relief in a classical style. The effigy occupies the central field, with the subject depicted in civilian attire with a high collar. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE arcs along the upper periphery, while the name BERNARDO O'HIGGINS appears in a straight legend along the lower field beneath the bust. Two small star ornaments flank the inscription at the lower left and right of the border. |
