Obverse description Plain white note with a simple typeset layout enclosed within a decorative border of repeated ornamental scrollwork. The central text certifies that the Commonwealth Government of the Philippines will redeem the certificate at face value upon termination of Emergency, with the denomination TWENTY CENTAVOS and the issuer name MINDANAO EMERGENCY CURRENCY BOARD printed in bold letterpress. The series year 1945, serial number, and the printed names of board members appear in the lower portion, with a manuscript signature of the Chairman overlaid across the face.
