| Obverse description | A stylized elephant in profile facing right occupies the central field, rendered in the traditional South Indian artistic style with dotted ornamentation delineating the body. Above the elephant, the auspicious Kannada legend 'Sri' is inscribed between a solar symbol (sun) and a crescent moon, symbolic devices denoting royal authority and divine sanction within the Mysore numismatic tradition. The overall design is bold and deeply struck, characteristic of the copper cash coinage issued under Maharaja Krishna Raja Wodeyar III. |
