| Obverse description | Central field features the Chinese character 漢 (Han) within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by a ring of small raised circles and set against a background of fine radiating lines. Two small floral rosettes appear at the left and right sides of the inner circle border. The legend 中華民國 二年 (Year 2 of the Republic of China) is inscribed in Chinese characters around the upper periphery, with the characters 年 (year) flanking the lower portion of the inner ring.
