Obverse description Central field displays the crowned arms of Solothurn — a rounded shield divided per fess, the upper portion bearing vertical stripes and the lower plain — set within a wreath of olive branches. The civic crown surmounts the shield, rendered in fine relief. The circumferential Latin legend reads RESPUBLICA SOLODOREN, with the denomination 20 · BAZ · inscribed in the lower field beneath a horizontal bar separating it from the central device. The entire design is framed by a toothed border.
