| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Panama occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings. The shield displays crossed swords and rifle, a cornucopia, a shovel and pickaxe over a representation of the Isthmus with ships on both oceans, and a fasces flanked by wings. A row of nine stars arcs above the shield beneath the eagle. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA and 75° ANIVERSARIO runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 20 BALBOAS is inscribed along the lower border. The fineness LEY 0.925 appears in the lower field beneath the coat of arms. |
