Obverse description Bare head of a local nymph facing right, rendered in archaic Sicilian style with naturalistic hair falling in waves behind the neck. The facial features are modeled in low relief, characteristic of the Segestан bronze coinage of the late fifth century BC. The field is plain, with no surrounding legend or inscription, reflecting the non-Hellenic tradition of this indigenous Elymian city.
