Reverse description Central design depicts a mint worker seated at and operating a historic screw press, rendered in fine detail within a beaded inner circle. The worker is shown in period attire, feeding a planchet into the press mechanism, which dominates the upper portion of the field with its characteristic flywheel and threaded spindle. The circumferential legend QUINTO CENTENARIO arcs across the upper field, with the denomination 20000 PTAS along the lower arc, all separated by dot stops. The Madrid mint mark M appears at lower left of the legend, and the fineness mark 500 appears at lower right, both flanked by heraldic ornaments. The composition commemorates the Fifth Centennial of the Discovery of America.
