| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Juan Carlos I facing three-quarters right, engraved in high relief and set within a raised inner circle. The effigy depicts the monarch in civilian attire with a jacket and tie, rendered in a naturalistic sculptural style by engraver Rafael Vallejo García. The circumferential legend JUAN CARLOS I REY DE ESPAÑA arcs around the upper portion of the border outside the inner circle. The date 1992 appears in the lower field of the border, flanked by two raised dots. |
